6 Days Uganda Tour - Tour Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest and Queen Elizabeth Parks

 

The awesome Murchison falls on the River Nile are worth a visit while you are in Uganda. Game drives in the Murchison Falls National Park are highly rewarding with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. A drive through the scenic tea plantations to the Kibale Chimps National park, a tropical rain forest with groups of habituated chimpanzees is also worth undertaking. Tour the Queen Elizabeth Park with its amazing biodiversity and enormous variety of wildlife.

 

TOUR ITINERARY

 

Day1: Kampala - Murchison Falls NP
After breakfast transfer by road from Kampala through Uganda’s beautiful country side to Masindi and on to the Murchison falls National park. Cross over by a ferry to the northern bank and check in at the Paraa Safari Lodge for your dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2: Launch Trip - Murchison Falls NP
After breakfast, undertake a launch trip to the Murchison falls compared by Sir Winston Churchill to Regent’s Park zoo and Kew Gardens combined. Along the river banks, vast numbers of water birds and butterflies and myriad wildlife coming to the water to drink make a big spectacle. The falls themselves are one of Africa’s wonders, the majestic Victoria Nile bursting through a 6 meter gap to an awesome 40 meters drop.
In the afternoon enjoy a scenic game drive in the park enabling you to see mammals including Uganda Kob, elephant, lion, giraffe, antelope, a variety of birds, etc. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari lodge

 

Day 3: Kibale Forest NP
After breakfast with picnic lunch, drive via Masindi and Hoima past Lake Albert towards the legendary “Mountains of the moon” traversing the scenic tea plantations to Fort portal in the foothills of the mountains in time for dinner at Rwenzori View Guest House. Dinner and overnight Ndali Safari Lodge / Rwenzori View Guest House

 

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking
Very early in the morning enjoy your breakfast and transfer to the Park headquarters at Kanyanchu for briefing and a guided forest walk at 8.00 am in search for the habituated chimpanzees. Kibale forest harbours an astonishing 12 primate species, one of the highest densities in the world. The forest is also an important bird area with at least 325 bird species plus a variety of butterflies. After the chimpanzee trek drive to Fort Portal for your lunch and later drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge

 

Day 5: Game Viewing Tour – Queen Elizabeth NP
After breakfast, undertake a morning game drive in the park. Look out for the prides of the lions and hyenas, herds of the elephants, Buffalo, bushbuck and kobs are quite common here.
In the afternoon, enjoy a launch trip to explore the Kazinga channel with its high concentrations of mammals including hippos, crocs, waterbucks, buffaloes, etc. plus a plethora of birds including migrant and Albertine Rift Endemics. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari lodge

 

Day 6: Return to Kampala
After breakfast drive back to Kampala arriving in the early afternoon.
